The diagonal layout adds movement and helps connect the different elements of the room.
Thoughtful Use of Space
Every element of the layout was considered to make the most of the room, creating a kitchen that feels open, balanced and effortless to use.
The island sits naturally within the space, with clear circulation and carefully balanced proportions maintaining a strong sense of symmetry. Differing worktop heights create distinct areas for preparation and serving, while timber and Quartz introduce a considered balance of warmth, texture and durability.
The result is a beautifully resolved kitchen where every element has its place.
An island designed around how the kitchen is used
The island brings together preparation, seating and serving without compromising the working space.
A change in worktop height creates a natural distinction between food preparation and the breakfast bar, while the solid timber overlap provides additional surface area and introduces warmth against the Quartz.
Making a compact room feel generous
The proportions of the room made an island a challenging proposition. Rather than compromise circulation or overload the space, the layout was carefully balanced around the room’s natural geometry.
The result is a kitchen that feels calm and spacious, with symmetry and proportion doing much of the visual work.
